Dear Mayor and City Council Members:

We need your help to make Sacramento a more affordable place to live. The time to create housing options throughout the entire city is now!

In 2009, the unemployment rate is nearly 10%, home values are declining, renters are being forced out of homes due to foreclosure and more families are on the verge of homelessness.

I am joining the Sacramento Housing Alliance and community partners to ask you to make Sacramento a city where everyone has a home.

Now is the time to expand Sacramento’s affordable housing ordinance citywide and to provide housing opportunities for people making less than 30% of the area median income ($21,300 for a family of four).

Together we will make Sacramento a city that houses everyone!
